I really enjoyed Guy Kawasaki’s “The Art of Innovation” talk at TEDxBerkeley 2014: “Rethink. Redefine. Recreate. Kawasaki, Chief evangelist of Canva, author of numerous books, and former chief evangelist of Apple, has a refreshing take on innovation.
One of the most inspirational points he makes during this talk is to focus on making meaning, not just money. He stresses the point that if you determine how you change the world, the success and money will follow. As Kawasaki says, “if you truly want to make meaning, it’s the first step toward innovation.”
To me innovation without meaning falls short. What is the most important lesson you’ve learned about innovation? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below.
